Ken Lau

Chief Trainer / Consultant

Ken Lau is a Corporate Venture and Innovation Trainer / Consultant with a decade of experience helping corporates and accelerators drive innovation transformation. Grounded in Lean and Agile principles, he has designed and facilitated venture programs with organisations while mentoring across platforms including MRANTI, 500 Global, PitchIN, TEGAS, and SDEC.

He brings deep expertise in Corporate Venture, supporting organizations to design, launch, and scale new business models within the Industry 4.0 and 5G landscape. Ken partners with leadership teams to identify strategic opportunity areas, structure venture-building processes, and align internal capabilities with market needs. His approach bridges corporate resources with startup agility, enabling companies to rapidly test, validate, and grow new ventures while de-risking investment.

As an HRDC-certified trainer, Ken develops and delivers innovation training that equips teams with practical tools in strategy, technology, talent, and process transformation. His programs emphasize customer-centricity, rapid experimentation, and data-driven validation, enabling corporations to build innovation roadmaps and corporate venture strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.

Previously, Ken founded a tourism startup that gained international recognition as a World Tourism Forum Lucerne finalist, Alibaba Netpreneur alumni, and Mekong Innovative Startup Award winner. His corporate career includes growth and leadership roles at pitchIN, MYSALE, ZALORA, and Accenture.

Subash Palaniappan

Agile Transformation & Innovation Leader

Subash Palaniappan is an Agile-certified practitioner and innovation leader with over 20 years of experience driving transformation in banking and finance. As founder of Unstructured, he has advised leading institutions such as Maybank, Khazanah, Etiqa, and Alliance Bank, helping them achieve greater efficiency and resilience through agility.

At Maybank, Subash served as Head Agile@Scale, where he spearheaded the enterprise-wide shift towards Agile, training hundreds of employees and developing a custom methodology that became the organization’s standard. He later led as Head of Innovation Design, building fintech partnerships and executing key strategic initiatives that shaped Maybank’s innovation journey.

With a background in computer science and a strong technical foundation as a self-taught programmer since age 16, Subash combines deep technical expertise with organizational transformation skills. His certifications in Agile, alongside expertise in Systems Thinking, Scaled Agile, and innovation design, position him as both a practitioner and coach. He has guided numerous teams in adopting Agile practices, while inspiring leadership to embrace change. Subash is also a sought-after speaker on leadership, transformation, and the future of work.

Freddy Loo

Data & Analytics Transformation Leader

Freddy Loo is a seasoned C-suite leader with over two decades of experience driving business transformation through data analytics, AI, and digital innovation. He is passionate about unlocking the power of data to create economic value and societal impact, with a strong focus on sustainable business practices and inclusive innovation.

Freddy has held leadership roles at Accenture, Ernst & Young (EY), Star Media Group, and Fusionex, where he built and scaled analytics-driven businesses. At EY, he established and grew the Analytics Practice to profitability within a year. At Star Media Group, he led the company’s digital and analytics transformation, launching Malaysia’s first subscription model for The Star Online and delivering a historic turnaround for mStar.

Today, as a consultant and advisor, Freddy helps corporates and government-linked entities design data strategies, adopt advanced analytics, and integrate AI to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Kathy Fernandez

Certified Process Facilitator, Organisational Development Practitioner & Design Thinking Coach

Kathy is a seasoned facilitator, coach, and trainer with over 9 years of experience supporting leaders worldwide in finding clarity of purpose and taking innovative action.

Grounded in an Organization Development (OD) approach, she designs every intervention with the conviction that individuals and teams hold untapped potential. She believes that when leaders harness connection, creativity, curiosity, and clarity, they open the door to new possibilities and impactful outcomes.

Kathy has partnered with a diverse range of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations, government agencies, GLCs, and start-ups. Her coaching clients span industries and roles—from engineers and entrepreneurs to directors, C-suite executives, and emerging leaders.

Currently serving as President of the Malaysian Association of Facilitators (MAFa), Kathy is recognized as a certified OD Practitioner, Design Thinker, Coach, and Process Facilitator. Her work continues to inspire and equip leaders to unlock their potential and drive meaningful transformation.
